Album of the Day - Some of my holiday selections!

Merry Christmas and happy first day of Hanukkah to all who celebrate, and happy holidays and good tidings to everyone. I have absolutely loved working on this project, but roughly 360 articles in, I do think a day’s break is in order so that I can hit the ground running for this last little stretch of 2024. I’m currently conjuring ideas of how exactly I want to bring this project into 2025 and already have some exciting ideas for how I want to tie the grand scope of this project together, but I want to take today to breathe, relax, and enjoy the holiday with my family. Plus, I simply had a wonderful time tracing the history of Christmas music yesterday.

Music is a gift to celebrate every day, and today I gave myself a sonic present: I finally listened to Björk’s stunning Vespertine, an album I’ve withheld myself from listening to for far too long. Although this article won’t come in until tomorrow morning, meaning this playlist’s value depreciates instantly until next December (some of them are generally wintery, at least!), I still wanted to tie it up with a smorgasbord of my favorite holiday selections.
